Two operations of territorial control through search and military control of area, carried out simultaneously, by units of the Colombian Navy in the municipality of Jurad贸, Choc贸, led to the capture of two individuals, who would belong to the company Nestor Tulio Duran of the organized armed group, GAO, ELN.
The first operation took place in barrio El Madero, where units of the Navy Infantry Brigade no.2, of the Pacific Naval force, in coordination with the National Police, carried out the capture in flagrante delicto of Darwin Steban Ortiz Renteria, alias Chitoto, alleged ringleader of the company Nestor Tulio Duran of the organized armed group ELN, for the alleged crime of murder. Minutes earlier, he had attacked two people, including a minor, who was injured by a firearm impact, and an adult who died from four firearm shots. At the time of capture, the man was carrying a Pietro Beretta pistol with 34 cartridges.
Simultaneously, troops of the Navy Brigade No.2, in the Pueblo Viejo neighborhood, captured another individual, named Pedro Fl贸rez Perea, born in Jurad贸, who, at the time of observing the troops, undertook escaped, however, hours later he was captured, carrying an AK 47 rifle, a magazine and 29 cartridges.
In the same way in the Pueblo Viejo neighborhood, the voluntary surrender of Leider Valoyes Ortiz, alias Jovino, apparently in the same way a member of the company N茅stor Tulio Duran del GAO ELN. He carried a pistol, two magazines, 23 cartridges, a short shotgun and a long shotgun.
Those captured and the material found, were taken to Bahia Solano, and put into custody of Judicial Police. The individuals will be prosecuted for the crimes of manufacturing, trafficking and illegal carrying of weapons.
