* As a result of this operation, two members of this organized armed group died during military operations.
* During the year, the Colombian Navy has managed to neutralize 76 members of the Organized Armed Group GAO Clan del Golfo on the Colombian Pacific coast.
In the rural area of the municipality of Juradó – Department of Chocó, the Colombian Navy is carrying out a heavy operation against the GAO Clan del Golfo, to bring its members to justice and neutralize their criminal interference in the municipalities of Nuquí, Juradó and Bahía Solano.
As a result of these military operations, there was an armed confrontation with the Organized Armed Group Clan del Golfo that left two members of this criminal organization dead in the course of military operations, and it was possible to find three long-range rifle-type weapons, 11 rifle magazines, a pistol and ammunition of different calibres. Neither military personnel nor civilians were beaten during the firefight.
On the other hand, in the sector of La Bocana, rural area of the District of Buenaventura, in joint operations and coordinated by the Navy of Colombia, the National Army and the National Police, as part of the Intervention Plan Buenaventura, it was possible to arrest an alleged ringleader of a group of the GAO Clan del Golfo, known by the alias of El Flaco and alias Bembo, who seems to be the ringleader of the group La Bocana of the Organised Gang La Local, substructure Shottas. These individuals had with them a UZI type submachine gun, a Glock type semiautomatic pistol, magazines and 39 projectiles.
These results thwart the intention of these criminal groups to form alliances to expand their criminal interference in the Pacific coast and in the District of Buenaventura, as well as significantly impact their logistical and coercive resources towards civilians, their ability to extort money, illegally recruit children, young people and adolescents of the ethnic communities of the region and cause fear, anxiety and confinement to the inhabitants.
The bodies of the two members of the GAO Clan del Golfo killed in the course of military operations, the individuals arrested and the war material found were put into custody of the authority .
