In a joint operation with the National Army and coordinated with the Technical Investigation Corps – CTI, of the Attorney General's Office, units of the Colombian Navy find 387 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride inside a vehicle parked inside a house in a residential complex in an exclusive sector of the urban area of Barranquilla, Atlántico.
Colombian Navy Intelligence learned of a series of movements of suspicious vehicles, which made trips from Cartagena to the north of Barranquilla and entered the Residential Complex, accompanied by people strange to the sector. Immediately, men from the Naval Institution together with the judicial authorities, advanced on the coordination for the search of the property.
A canine team of the Coast Guard Station of Barranquilla, together with the judicial authorities, inspected the garage of the house, finding inside the vehicle 13 bags containing 386 rectangular packages, which were inspected leaving positive result for cocaine hydrochloride. During the operation, one person was arrested and put into custody of the authorities .
It is estimated that this illicit shipment would cost close to 14 million dollars, after its sale in approximately one million doses of cocaine in the illegal market; a figure that, thanks to the decisive operation of the Military Forces and the Attorney General's Office, will not enter the finances of the Organized Armed Group, GAO, Clan del Golfo.
The arrested individual and the material were given to the URI of the Prosecutor's Office so that the relevant judicial work can be carried out.
