Training, team work esprit and experience are the main components that accompany the delegation that represents Colombia this year at Red Flag Rescue 2022.
The crews of the UH-60 helicopters and the ECN-235 aircraft of the Colombian Air Force are already ready to start their participation in Red Flag Rescue 2022.
At the Davis-Monthan Air Base of the United States Air Force, USAF, where this exercise is taking place, the C-SAR Rescue capabilities will be strengthened, this being one of the most important military aviation exercises in the world, in which the knowledge, training and skills of the Colombian Air Force crews will be tested to carried out different rescue missions, where a hostile environment is simulated to carried out new techniques, tactics, procedures and strengthen interoperability of the Air Forces of different countries.
At the facilities of the Air Combat Command No.5 a ceremony was held. There the Commander of the Colombian Air Force, General Ramses Rueda Rueda, presented the official banner of the Red Flag Rescue 2022 Exercise to Brigadier General Fernando Correa, who will lead this team of officers and NCOs who will represent the nation.
The Colombian Air Force take part, for the fifth time, this year as a guest of the Air Force of the united States, thanks to its operational experience and excellent behavior in previous years, and also to the relations of cooperation that has been strengthening by the two air forces, which will lead the members of the Institution to strengthen its Resources to save lives in conflict environments and in the same way in natural disasters, catastrophes or any event that put at risk the good physical condition of the inhabitants, it works to increase the professionalism of the missions that take place throughout the national territory.
