With the aim of further strengthening bilateral cooperation ties and identifying opportunities in areas of strategic interest for the United States and Colombia, the Colombian Aerospace Force welcomed Colonel John B. Creel, Second Commander of the Twelfth Aerospace Force of the United States of America, who will be in his official visit to the country from August 23th to 25th.
During his first day in the country, Colonel John B. Creel arrived at the Military Transport Air Command- CATAM facilities in Bogot谩, where he learned about the Resources of the Colombian Aerospace Force that have been supported by the Twelfth United States Air Force, the Institution's contributions to hemispheric security through the ZEUS strategy and the progress in interoperability issues.
In addition, he learned about the Command and Control of the Colombian Aerospace Force and the National Personnel Recovery Center- CENRP, a unit of the Institution responsible for responding to face natural disasters, recovering and evacuation of personnel injured in combat and also the protecting Colombian residents who are victims of emergencies or live in vulnerable conditions.
In the same way, accompanied by of Brigadier General Juan Francisco Mosquera, Commander of CATAM, he toured the Aeronautical Education Group of this Military Unit, getting to know the Resources of this center for the training, instruction and development of competencies of the crews of different flight teams, who daily fulfill the mission of the Institution.
On the other hand, at the facilities of the Technical Group of the Military Air Transport Command he in the same way learned in detail and first-hand, the support that the Twelfth United States Force has made for the strengthening of Resources of the C-130 Hercules aircraft squadron of the FAC.
Finally, the agenda of exchange of knowledge, experiences and lessons learned, with Colonel John B. Creel, will continue at the Military Aviation School in Cali, Valle del Cauca, and the Air Combat Commands No. 1 and 5 s in Puerto Salgar, Cundinamarca and Rionegro, Antioquia.
