The Colombian Air Force continues to transfer the wounded people after the accident that occurred in Tasajera, in the department of Magdalena. On this occasion, it carried out the aeromedical transfer of two patients with covid-19 to the country's capital city to receive specialized care to guarantee their recovery.
To carry out this mission, the Military Transport Air Command, CATAM, sent a Cassa C-295 ambulance aircraft with configuration to treat patients with covid-19. The aircraft was divided into three zones to guarantee the safety and well-being of both the crew and the patients.
In the same way, the Air Force crew and medical personnel are prepared to fulfill the entrusted mission, fully following the complete biosafety protocols that the Air Institution has arranged to carry out transfers of patients with covid-19.
In the same way, during the flight the patients were constantly monitored by health professionals to prevent any type of complications due to the significant burns they had on the body.
This is how the Colombian Air Force, in coordination with the National Center for Recovery of Personnel -CNRP, work daily to guarantee quality hospital care in the midst of fighting the virus.
