In a new aeromedical transfer mission of the Caribbean Air Group, the Colombian Air Force with a Caravan C208-B aircraft, transferred two patients from the Island of Providencia to San Andrés, who required priority medical assistance.
After the quick reaction of the crew, two women aged 46 and 26 were evacuated with multiple traumas due to a traffic accident, where the older woman got health complications due to her medical history, while the other woman had injuries to her face and head.
The transfer was carried out with the women secured on rigid stretchers reducing the mobility of the body, preventing worsening the injuries or generating pain. In the same way, they required studies and treatments in San Andrés to determine their health status and to rule out important injuries or future complications.
