This individual would be, apparently, implicated as one of the determinants in the event that occurred on August 21, 2020, where six people were killed in the municipality of La Guayacana, Municipality of Tumaco, Nariño.
Alias Piquiña was wanted by the judicial authorities for the crimes of conspiracy to commit a crime and aggravated homicide.
According to intelligence reports, he was responsible for the forced recruitment of people in rural areas of the municipality of Roberto Payan.
In the course of military operations carried out by the Joint Task Force Hercules, with the support of the Attorney General's office, it was possible to neutralize alias Piquiña, third ringleader of the GAO residual structure Oliver Sinisterra and trusted man of the main ringleader of this structure, alias Fabian or El Gringo.
In the military operation, carried out in rural area of the municipality of Roberto Payan, in La Conquista, the troops held a firefight that resulted in the death in military operations of this individual and it was possible to find a short weapon.
Alias Piquiña, with an extensive criminal record, belonged to the former Daniel Aldana mobile column of the Farc, structure in which he was responsible for coordinating and conducting criminal intelligence activities against units of the Military Forces in the municipalities of Roberto Payan and Tumaco. This individual carrie out homicides against civilians and individuals of the structures of the GAO residual Los Contadores, causing with these facts intimidation and displacement of communities.
In addition, he was responsible for conducting criminal activities for drug trafficking on the Bank of the Chagüi River, where he threatened to kill the inhabitants of these communities in order to maintain the planting of illicit plantations in the region. This individual was wanted with two arrest warrants for the offences of conspiracy to commit crimes and aggravated homicide.
This result weakens the terrorists projections of this criminal structure, its intentions of strengthen the armed capacity in the municipality of Roberto Payán and Tumaco, in Nariño, and decreases the income from illegal products and illegal activities conducted by the residual Organized Armed Group in this region of the country.
