The Military Forces still weakening crime in the pacific of Nariño. Over the weekend, two members of the Residual Organized Armed Group (GAO-r) Los Contadores were neutralized and four more were captured.
The Joint Task Force of the Stabilisation and Consolidation Hercules with the National Army, in compliance with the Plan Bicentenario Héroes de la Libertad (Bicentenary Plan Heroes of Freedom), achieved the death in development of military operations of alias Indian and alias Chugo, and the capture of another individual. They were part of the GAO-r Los Contadores, in the village of Quendan, in the municipality of Barbacoas, Nariño.
The operation was carried out by soldiers of the Rapid Deployment Battalion No. 6 which belongs to the Rapid Deployment Force No. 2, who received information about the location of a camp area of the GAO-R Los Contadores that on Saturday, November 28, was strategically struck by Military Forces.
While the troops checked the place they enter into combat with the individuals who were on the site, achieving the deaths of alias Indio and Chugo, and the capture of alias Yei, who had an arrest warrant for the crime of association to commit aggravated crimes. They were in charge of carrying out targeted killings in the municipality of Barbacoas, in the villages of Inda Zabaleta and Vaquerio. Several firearms were seized.
Simultaneously, during this operation three captures were made in the municipality of Barbacoas. These individuals that belong to the same group are: alias Darío, who was serving as the head of group in the urban area of this municipality; alias Trenzas, who was in charge of conducting targeted killings in this area; and alias Robert, who carried out intelligence criminal operations. They had in his possession firearms and war material.
