Due to the constant pressure of the troops, in recent months Cain was forced to move continuously in temporary camps. This individual would be responsible for ordering the murder of social leaders, soldiers and policemen.
In joint, coordinated and inter-institutional military operations, conducted by troops of the National Army, the Colombian Air Force, the National Police, the Attorney General's office and in response to early alerts 028 of 2018 and 020 of 2019, in military operations, alias Cain or Pilatos, maximum ringleader of the organized armed group, GAO, Los Caparros.
The operation was carried out in the village La Unión, rural area of the municipality of Tarazá, Antioquia, thanks to the alerts from the information networks, and after several months of follow-up. In this way, it was possible, in the midst of a heavy firefight with his security group, the neutralization of this important ringleader, who is the list of the most wanted, for the murder of several social leaders.
Alias Cain, identified as Emiliano Alcides Osorio Macea, according to the authorities, had a criminal record of more than 16 years. He was member of the so called bloc Mineros of the extinct Autodefensas in the department of Cordoba. He was part of the Virgilio Peralta Arenas substructure. In 2006, he joined the demobilization process, but returned to illegality. Subsequently, he was appointed as ringleader of the GAO Los Caparros.
This individual led the illegal armed confrontation against the Gao Clan del Golfo. He was in charge of criminal alliances with ELN ringleaders and dissidents. Under his command he had more than 180 criminals who protected him in several places in rural Tarazá regions, from where he ordered murders and coordinated the illicit income in the Bajo Cauca region and southern Cordoba.
In the military operation it was possible to find a short weapon, magazines and ammunition of War, personal objects of the ringleader, communications equipment and mass storage devices.
During 2020 the troops of the National Army have severely damaged the organized armed group Los Caparros, with the neutralization of six of its ringleaders, 117 captures, 20 surrenders to justice, 10 deaths in the course of military operations and 26 firefights.
