The Colombian Navy and the private sector arrived in the municipality of Sucre, in the heart of the La Mojana subregion, to distribute humanitarian aid and provide medical assistance to families hit by the floods caused in the rainy season.
The coordinated and inter-institutional efforts to support the most vulnerable inhabitants in this area of the Colombian Caribbean do not stop, on this occasion, the Navy Infantry River Battalion No.17 arranged all its logistical and human resources to transport 250 food baskets with basic food of the family basket, which were donated by the Super Giros company.
In this way, troops will support one of the hard-to-reach areas of La Mojana, in order to distribute humanitarian aid that was transported in river and land units of Navy Infantry from Sincelejo - Sucre.
During the activity, medical assistance services were in the same way provided by a group of health professionals, who in the same way distributed medicines.
