The activity included medical services and donations that facilitate the educational development of minors.

28 thousand liters of water were transported from Cartagena by ships of the Colombian Navy and provided to this community.
By sea, air and land, the Colombian Navy arrived in Karasua, in the municipality of Uribia, in the department of La Guajira, to carry out a comprehensive activity for the benefit of the inhabitants of the Wayuú indigenous people; more than 70% are children.
About 1,400 Guajiros received free of charge a complete range of medical services such as general medicine, optometry, gynecology, dentistry and psychology, they in the same way benefited of the distribution of food, biosecurity implements, clothing, school kits, desks, among others.
On the other hand, in order to mitigate the difficulty of accessing drinking water in the Colombian Alta Guajira region, the Amphibious Landing Ship ARC Golfo de Tribuga transported from Cartagena, Bolívar, more than 28 thousand liters of water that were distributed to the community.
This humanitarian assistance operation was carried out with the support of the Navy Infantry Mobility Battalion No.1 and crew members of the Punta Espada Surveillance Station, who reached the most remote houses of the people of Karasua, with the vital liquid.
The activity was attended by Vice Admiral Juan Ricardo Rozo Obregón, Commander of the Caribbean Naval Force, who verified firsthand the assistance provided to these communities. The attendees of the event enjoyed recreational and leisure activities that seek to strengthen the bond of partnership and cooperation, sowing hope in children and youth.
In this initiative led by the Naval Institution, efforts were coordinated with the Matamoros Foundation, the Naval Social action, Uniminuto, Coopservir – Drogas la Rebaja, the Unidos Foundation, the Professional Officers of the Cartagena and Barranquilla Reserve, the Aspen school of Cartagena, the Colombian Institute of Family Wellbeing, the Foundation of Agricultural Peasants – Fuchae and the Naval College of Manzanillo.
