At this time, the Navy of Colombia through the Units of the Pacific Naval Force carries out operations in order to verify the information provided by the indigenous communities and the Ombudsman's Office, about clashes conducted by organized armed groups, near the community of Pichim谩, in the municipality of Litoral de San Juan, in the department of Choc贸.
Once the information was known, the Command of the Pacific Naval Force deployed an aircraft that made overflights in the municipality Litoral of San Juan. In the same way, on board a ship, troops of the Marine Infantry Brigade No.2 will be transferred to carry out the corresponding verifications and meet the requirements of the inhabitants of the area.
The confrontation conducted by the armed groups, which have not yet been identified, allegedly obey the dispute over drug trafficking routes.
