The Colombian Navy, as part of its unarmed effort, sent its logistics with vehicles and human talent to transport about five tons of agricultural products from small producers in the Gulf of Morrosquillo and the Sucre Savannah sub region.
This is how, within the framework of the Aguacatizate strategy, the crew members of the Navy Infantry Battalion No.14, attached to the Navy Infantry Brigade No.1, in a coordinated work with the Government of Sucre reached the villages of Chinulito, Macajan, Salitral and Don Gabriel of the municipalities of Ovejas, Colos贸 and Toluviejo, collecting the largest amount of the products available for marketing.
This arduous effort lasted more than 10 hours, facing inclement weather and difficult access to certain areas where agricultural products were, however, this was not an impediment to take the products to Sincelejo, Sucre, thus reducing costs in the distribution chain, contributing significantly to the economic development of farmers in this region of the country.
Among the products marketed, yam, cassava, banana and a greater amount of avocado stand out, thanks to the fact that at this time of year production increases.
