Thanks to the coordination conducted by the Colombian Navy, the National Army and the University of Santander, a development support activity was carried out in the municipality of Puerto Wilches - Santander, benefiting more than 500 low income people.
The commitment and effort of public and private institutions, led to benefit the most vulnerable communities of the department of Santander, distributing more than 600 medicines, donations with basic products of the family basket, dental hygiene kits by the Health Establishment of Barrancabermeja and baskets with food by the company Palmeras, among other basic necessities, contributing to the stabilization of the territory.
During the activity, medical services such as physiotherapy, general medicine, family medicine and dentistry were in the same way provided.
For their part, the crew of the Navy Infantry River Battalion No. 17 carried out recreational activities, face painting, dancing, candy distribution and games on trampolines and inflatables, providing a moment of healthy recreation to the participants of the activity.
