In a coordinated operation conducted by the Colombian Navy and the National Police, the discovery of 600 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride was possible on board a Liberian-flagged boat, in the Bah铆a Colombia sector, in Turbo, in Antioquia.
Thanks to intelligence information of the National Police, Units of the Urab谩 Coast Guard Station and the Anti-Narcotics Police find 20 sacks that apparently contained illicit substances in a container on board the merchant ship that was destined for Italy.
The material was transported to the Zungo Port Facility and later to the Urab谩 Police Department, where the Homologated Preliminary Identification Tests - PIPH were made, leaving positive result for cocaine hydrochloride.
It is estimated that the price of the drug exceeds 36 million dollars if sold in the European market.
During the operation, no arrests were made; apparently this ship would have been contaminated without the knowledge of the crew, by drug trafficking organizations that commit crimes under this modality, to be later recovered by a link or an accomplice to this crime in one of the ports of route.
