Arauca. In compliance with the Bicentennial Plan, units of the Marine Infantry Battalion No. 52, together with troops of the Quiron Task Force, through search and control operations of the area, found a hideout of explosives in the neighborhood Flor de Milla, in the urban area of the municipality of Arauca. Inside, troops found 72 electrical detonators and three devices that contained a total of 65 kilograms of ANFO (ammonium nitrate for its acronym in English), a powerful explosive.
According to intelligence work, these devices belong to the Residual Organized Armed Group, first Structure "Armando Ríos", which commits crimes commanded by alias "Pescado", in the department of Arauca.
The explosives were deactivated and neutralized under controlled conditions by the Urban Anti-Explosives Group of the Infantry Battalion No. 52.
The National Navy ratifies its commitment to the security and tranquility of the inhabitants of the department of Arauca, carrying out operations that led to counteract the criminal operations of organized and residual armed groups; it also rejects those terrorist operations, which disturb law and order, and violate Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law.
