In recent hours, the Coastguard Station of Urabá, in a Maritime Interdiction operation, rescued irregular migrants, 26 adults and 15 children, in the area of Matuntugo, in the department of Antioquia.
The operation was launched when the navigation of a ship was detected, at an unauthorized time. In the inspection and search procedure to the motorboat, lobster type, named "Ishasal", 41 troops found irregular migrants on board, who said they were from Angola, Bangladesh, Eritrea, Haiti and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
The two alleged traffickers of people who transported them, jumped into the water and started scape entering a mangrove area.
The group of 41 migrants, including 12 women, was taken to the facilities of the Urabá Coastguard Station, where they received food, medical assistance and put into custody of Migración Colombia.
