In recent hours, the Pacific Naval Force has found 1,635 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride in different operations, which prevented the entry of more than 54 million dollars to drug trafficking organizations.
Cauca. Troops of the National Navy in an operation of military control of area on the river Micay in the department of Cauca, found a ship that the drug trafficking organizations had ready to set sail with 625 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride inside. The crew of the boat abandoned the place when they noticed the presence of military personnel.
The boat of approximately eight meters long, named "Dancar", was on a river bank, where it would have been abandoned by its crew. During the inspection, the troops of the Pacific Naval Force found 21 sacks with rectangular packages.
The ship and the substance were transported to the municipality of Buenaventura in Valle del Cauca, where the judicial authorities made the preliminary test which resulted positive for 625 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride.
The alkaloid, which would cost more than 20 million dollars in the international market, would have Central America as destination.
