In less than 24 hours, the Pacific Naval Force has found 669 kilograms of alkaloids in different maritime interdiction operations.
Valle del Cauca. Units of the National Navy in maritime control operations, found a ship that was navigating during the night, in a suspicious manner, transporting alkaloids in the mouth of the Yurumangu铆 River, of the municipality of Buenaventura, in the Valle del Cauca.
Information of Naval Intelligence guided the units of Coastguard of Buenaventura to the boat without name, or ID that when noticing the presence of the authorities undertook the flight without success; they were intercepted after a pursuit.
During the inspection of the boats, manned by three individuals of Colombian nationality, the military personnel found eight sacks that apparently contained alkaloids. The men, the boat and the stash, were taken to the facilities of the National Navy in Buenaventura, where it was put into custody of the authorities.
The judicial authorities analyzed the substance contained in the packages, which resulted positive for 190 kilograms result of cocaine hydrochloride. The three captured will be prosecuted for the crimes of trafficking, manufacturing and carrying narcotics.
This year, the Pacific Naval Force has found about 63 tons of cocaine hydrochloride, preventing more than two billion dollars from entering the drug trafficking organizations. In the same way, it has intercepted 66 boats linked to drug trafficking, capturing 118 criminals linked to this illegal activity.
