Choc贸. In military area control operations carried out by troops of the National Navy in the sector of Puerto Meluk, in the municipality of Bajo Baud贸 - in the department of Choc贸, an armed confrontation was carried out against a criminal structure of the ELN, which resulted in death of one delinquent and five navy members injured by shrapnel.
The confrontation that took place today at dawn against the members of the "Ernesto Che Guevara" Front of the commission of alias "Miller", of the organized armed group Eln, left as a result a dead criminal and the finding of an unconventional grenade launcher and a shotgun, as well as explosives. In the next few hours, the lifeless body of the offender will be removed after the inspection of the body by the authorities, for their respective identification.
The five military, two wounded by firearm and the rest by shrapnel in their body, were evacuated by an aircraft of the National Navy to the port of Buenaventura in Valle del Cauca, where they recover satisfactorily in a medical Center.
The operations and searches continue in the area by the personnel of the National Navy.
