During a coordinated operation, carried out by Units of the Navy of Colombia and the office of the Attorney General, through the Directorate of Specialized counter-Narcotics of the Delegate Against the Criminal Organizations, with the support of anti-Narcotics Police, against the trafficking organizations that commit crimes in the colombian Caribbean, found 320,40 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride of high purity which had as destination Hamburg - Germany.
Thanks to valuable information provided through the program of citizen collaboration Network of Allies, and the follow-up by the intelligence agencies, authorities knew that the containers with fruits brought from farms of the banana production region in the department of Magdalena, were being used for the camouflage of the illicit substance. The authorities carried out the coordination for the prosecution and search, finding 20 bags which, after being tested, left positive result for 320,40 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride.
According to information sources, this illegal substance was entered into one of the city's port docks with the intention of being sent to Europe for commercialization and it is presumed to belong to a drug trafficking structure associated with the organized armed group, GAO, Clan del Golfo, which has criminal alliances within ports and maritime terminals and currently dispute territorial control with other criminal organizations that demand money from drug trafficking organizations.
It is estimated that this cargo on the European black market would have a cost close to nineteen million two hundred thousand dollars (US $19.200.000), a figure that, thanks to the operation of the Navy of Colombia in coordination with the authorities, will not enter the financial structures of transnational criminal organizations.
