10 nautical miles from Cabo de la Vela, the pursuit of the motorboat began and thanks to the professionalism and courage of the Coast Guard men, it was possible to immobilize the boat before the individuals crashed de boat at the beach and tried to escape, which apparently was their evasive intention.
The boat, the three individuals and the narcotic substances were taken to Riohacha, where the CTI (Technical Investigations Corps) of the Office of the Prosecutor made the Preliminary Test to the 28 bags with 700 packages found on board. The result was positive for 925.4 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride.
