More than 150 soldiers of the Thirteenth Brigade are working on the search and waste management tasks, to mitigate the emergency caused by the rains in recent hours.
In response to the heavy rains that have been occurring in the country, the soldiers of the National Army are ready to provide support for any emergency such as the one that occurred this weekend in the municipality of La Calera, which in the same way hit the people of the municipality of Usaquén in Bogotá.
In this case, the soldiers of the Support and Services Battalion No.13 and Military Police No.15, reacted in a timely manner, after the overflow of the Molinos River, in an almost immediate operation proceeded to provide support with equipment, machinery and personnel, to mitigate the damage caused. The work has focused on operations such as the removal of solid materials, plant material and mud residues that were scattered both on the Bogotá - La Calera road, and on the seventh career near 107th Street, together with the staff of the Disaster Assistance and Prevention Brigade, the Molinos River channel was cleaned and recovered.
For now, with the support of all authorities, the search for a missing person continues. The road to La Calera will continue to be closed from 85th Street to the sector known as La Capilla, in the San Luis neighborhood, in the same way the vehicular restriction on the El Verjón - Choachí road will be maintained.
