Soldiers of the Nueva Granada Battalion of the Fifth Brigade, with the support of the Engineer Battalion of Prevention and Assistance in Disasters No.81, have been attending since Thursday, June 6, the inhabitants in the emergency in Yondo, Antioquia, where heavy rains generated flooding in the municipality.
From very early on, the troops, in coordination with the other relief agencies and the Risk Management Unit, arrived at the scene in order to support the families in rescue work, recovery of belongings and evacuation to safe places to prevent risks in the face of the emergency.
With these operations, Colombian National Army reaffirms its commitment to the community, demonstrating that, through its differential resources, it is always ready to support in any situation.
