Due to the heavy rains caused in recent days, the level of the river exceeded the retaining wall, in sectors of Bolivar.
Men and women of the National Army, in support of the civilians residing in the municipality of Achí and the municipality of Puerto Pajón, in the department of Bolívar, joined forces to contain the rising Cauca River, which has caused flooding due to the heavy rains that have been occurring in the region.
The troops of the Marte Joint Task Force, a unit of the First Division of the National Army, and the civil authorities of the municipality of Achí, seek to contain the rising of the Cauca River, which was caused by the heavy rains; the retaining wall was insufficient.
So many people, who lost their property, and the community of the municipality of Achí, joined the National Army soldiers with shovels, boots, and gloves to install barriers with sand bags, and a team to be able to give a quick solution to the problems by the heavy rains.
