The operation was coordinated with a private company to mitigate the basic needs of people who are confined to vulnerable sectors of the city.
In development of Operation San Roque, launched to assist people and support institutions in the context of the health emergency resulting of the covid-19 pandemic, the Sixth Division of the National Army facilitated the distribution of bread to 475 families of the settlements El Timmy, 11 de Marzo, Bajo Caldas and Troncal del Hacha de Florencia, in the department of Caquetá.
The operation was carried out in the framework of an alliance between a private bakery that contributed the raw material, as well as the labor for the manufacture of the basic product. The Fe in Colombia program managed resources for the preparation of 1,100 bread units; 3,800 units were distributed.
In total, 475 packages, each of eight loaves, were distributed to four selected settlements in Florencia, taking into account their level of vulnerability and critical social indicators.
Similarly, the Colombia Stereo station, in addition to being the link between the Fe in Colombia program and the members of this private company, carried out a transmission of the activity with the aim of informing the community about the activities carried out by the National Army for the benefit of the inhabitants of Caquetá.
