In the framework of the Diamante II plan it was possible to confiscate cheese and wines that were transported without the regulatory documents for entry into national territory.
The Quiron Task Force, in inter-institutional control operations with the Fiscal and Customs Police and the Colombian Agricultural Institute ICA carried out in the village of San Salvador in the municipality of Tame, in the department of Arauca, inspected a passengers bus transport that transported smuggled material.
During the military and police control, 260 bottles of wine and 228 kilos of artisanal salty cheese were found, without the required documentation or the sanitary measures necessary for their transportation, such as the adequate refrigeration system that would prevent damages to the health and well-being of the population. So, this material valued at approximately three million five hundred thousand pesos ($ 3'500,000) was put into custody of the authorities.
The National Army will continue to carry out territorial control operations in the plains region, counteracting any act of criminality that may hit its inhabitants and its economy, countering contraband and providing peace and security to all inhabitants.
