In the same way, two alleged members of the Dagoberto Ramos Ortiz residual structure support network were arrested.
In a coordinated effort with the Police, troops of the National Army carrying out military operations of territorial control and through checkpoints, found about 500 kilograms of marijuana and arrested two people, apparently members of the support network for the residual Organized Armed Group, GAO-r, Dagoberto Ramos Ortiz.
The incident occurred in the municipality of Crucero de Guali, municipality of Caloto, Cauca; A motorcycle and a vehicle were also found there, they were transporting the illegal merchandise, which was camouflaged on mattresses to avoid being detected in the searches carried out by the Security Forces in the department. In the mattresses were found by troops 500 packages, a cost of 60 million pesos approximately and, apparently, the drug had as destination the city of Santiago de Cali, Valle del Cauca.
Those arrested and the material found were given to the authorities for their respective prosecution process.
The National Army will continue conducting military operations aimed at combating the crime of trafficking and also the lines of financing illegal armed groups, neutralizing the phenomena of crime, trafficking networks and microtrafficking of psychoactive substances that are detrimental to society in general in this part of the country.
