The citizens were kidnapped in a house in the municipality of El Tarra, Norte de Santander.
In stability operations, troops of the National Army, in a coordinated and interinstitutional manner with the Police and the CTI (Technical Investigations Corps) of the Attorney General's Office, carried out the rescue of four people who had been kidnapped by those who would be members of the residual Organized Armed Group, GAO-r, Structure 33, in the village Los Robles, of the municipality of El Tarra, Norte de Santander.
This successful operation took place thanks to the military intelligence, in a raid ordered by the Prosecutor's Office, in a search of a house where they possibly kept weapons that would be being used to commit murders, where there were some people accused of being consumers of hallucinogenic substances and/ or of committing crimes in that region.
According to what was reported by the authorities, these people would have been subjected to mistreatment and mocking through social networks, by alias Pedro, head of this structure, who apparently forced them to perform forced physical labor under adverse conditions and poor diet, presumably as punishment.
