With the purpose of counteracting acts of insecurity that are taking place in the capital city of the department of Magdalena, for the first time in history, Santa Marta has a group of Urban special Forces of the National army.
A group of 35 specialized men trained in strategies against urban crime belonging to the Urban Special Forces Battalion No.1, reinforce the security of the municipality, coordinating with the Metropolitan Police of Santa Marta, in order to increase security and work jointly and in coordination with the judicial authorities of the city.
With this group of soldiers, experts in security strategies in urban sectors, the National Army through the First Division validates its commitment to the well-being, tranquility and protection of the civilian population in the city of Santamarta.
