Touring the department of Caquetá and strengthening bonds of trust, soldiers provided a time of recreation to the most distant and vulnerable people through inspiring stories of the seventh art.
The National Army and Cine Colombia joined forces to reach more than 130 people in the municipality of Cartagena del Chairá, Caquetá, with Route 90, who enjoy a night of recreation and inspiration. A project that seeks to bring cinema closer to the most vulnerable communities in the country in order to build a seed of hope through art and entertainment.
The Colombian Amazon is mostly dense jungle, natural diversity and rivers; its inhabitants take advantage of this wealth to work its lands as the main source of their economy. Because of the above and after the study of the area, the soldiers and the staff of cine Colombia decided to bring the giant screen closer as part of the entertainment and union for the community.
“In this space the soldiers shared a message of unity, respect and solidarity with these people of the south of the country, as part of our commitment to ensure their good condition and safety,” was the message left by Major Luis Hernán Beltrán Hernández, second commander and executive of the Comprehensive Action and Development Support Battalion No.6.
For their part, the inhabitants thanked the activity: "thanks to the National Army and Cine Colombia for bringing us cinema, because we haven't seen this type of activities around here for a while, our children were happy watching the movie," were the words of Oneida Aguirre, a resident of the municipality of Morelia who attended the presentation with her children.
After passing through the municipalities of Albania, Morelia, Monserrate, Belén de los Andaquíes, Valparaíso, Solita, among others, the Colombian Cinema Route 90 will continue its journey through the department of Putumayo.
