In military operations, troops of the National Army, together with the Colombian Air Force, provided first aid to two alleged members of Organised Armed Group, GAO, Clan del Golfo, wounded in a battle reported in the rural area of the municipality of Santa Rosa Del Sur, Bolívar.
The humanitarian aid was carried out by the troops, in a rural area of the municipality of San Cayetano, after the troops arrived at the sector, they were attacked by those who would be members of the GAO, Clan del Golfo. During the combat these individuals got wounds.
Immediately, and in strict adherence to the provisions of international humanitarian law and human rights, the two individuals were provided with first aid, being subsequently taken by air to a medical center in the municipality of Simíti, Bolívar, where they are out of danger.
During the operation it was possible to find two long rifles, 12 magazines, two multipurpose vests, two bracelets alluding to the GAO, war ammunition and communication equipment.
In the same way, after their recovery they will be handed over to the competent authorities, who will continue with their respective prosecution process.
