The attack was apparently going to be carried out by members of the Northeastern War Front of the Organized Armed Group, GAO, ELN, on direct orders from alias Antonio Garc铆a, accused member of the Central Command of this group, whose refuge is in Venezuela.
By carrying out military operations, troops of the Second Division of the National Army neutralize a terrorist operation that was to be perpetrated against the police station of the municipality of Agua Clara, municipality of Puerto Santander, in C煤cuta, Norte de Santander.
This opportune neutralization carried out by the National Army is part of the military control actions of the area carried out by the Security Forces within the framework of the security strategy designed by the Armed Forces for Norte de Santander, in accordance to the commitments established in the different Security Councils led by the Minister of Defense in the department.
