The pressure of the troops of the Eighth Division, led to the release of the kidnapped people
The decisive military operations of the Quiron Task Force, framed in the “Diamante” Plan, led to the rescue of two citizens who had been kidnapped by the ELN in the department of Arauca.
The troops of the Eighteenth Brigade launched a security operation and in a few hours, after operations of military search and control of the area in the Malvinas region of Tame, these two men returned to their homes after 42 days deprived of freedom.
The rescued had been kidnapped for extortion reasons, by members of the Luis Orlando Velandia commission of the Gao “Domingo Laín Sáez” of the Eln.
Immediately, the airlift of the two people was conducted, with the aim of conducting the necessary medical check-ups and establishing their health status.
