For three days, more than 1,600 people benefited of the development support activity carried out in the municipality of Taguaira in Uribia, in the department of La Guajira.
To reach Taguaira, the largest municipality of Uribia and extreme zone of Alta Guajira, it is necessary to enter a world of natural contrasts such as the blue of the sea, the bright yellow of the desert and its aridity, high temperatures, dry climate, sun and a community that rarely can access services of specialized medicine, beauty and recreation.
For this reason, the National Army joined the Foundation “El Sol Brilla Para Todos” and the Foundation “Solidaridad Sin Límites”, to bring a Development Support Activity to this region, with a range of services in general medicine, pediatrics, physiotherapy, dentistry , nursing, vaccination, nutrition, speech therapy and cytology.
Paula Roldán, Director of the “Solidarity without Limits” Foundation, said: I want to specially thank our glorious National Army and the “El Sol Brilla Para Todos” Foundation, because we work together for the Taguaira population in Alta Guajira. We present a very positive report of the services in health and I thank the institutions that joint the activity and the people who can change the world through small actions ".
In addition, about 1,600 inhabitants of this municipality built between the Serrania de la Makuira and the Jarara plain, enjoyed beauty services, hairdressing and recreation. They benefited with the donations of $ 50,000,000 pesos in medicines, 5,000 liters of water, 650 toys, 2,000 pieces of clothing, 650 oral hygiene kits and 30 mats.
