The illegal drug production complex had a production capacity of more than one and a half tons a month of cocaine hydrochloride.
In a military operation, in conjunction with the Air Force, coordinated with the National Police and inter agency with the CTI (Technical Investigations Corps) of the office of the Prosecutor, troops of the National Army, find and destroy a complex for the production of cocaine hydrochloride, apparently of the Residual Organized Armed Group, GAO-r, Structure 33 and the GAO-ELN, who would have lost more than 10 billion pesos.
The military operation was reported in the municipality of Pacheli, in the municipality of Tibú, in Norte de Santander, where troops dismantled the cocaine hydrochloride production laboratory. The large illegal structure had a production capacity of more than one ton of narcotics per month, which represented USD 2,728,979 for its illegal financial scaffolding, which corresponds to 10,174,400,000 COP.
At the site the troops in the same way found 445 kilograms of solid precursors, 2,582 gallons of liquid precursors, different machines and equipment that were used for the production and distribution of these drugs throughout the Catatumbo region.
It should be noted that for the operation of this illegal structure it was necessary to have a distillation tower, a “worm”, a power generator, three microwave ovens, an adaptor, a press, seven drying tables, four tanks with a capacity to store a thousand liters and 17 barrels with a capacity to store 55 gallons.
After reviewing the material and structures, destruction was carried out in controlled conditions to prevent damage to the environment.
