Through military operations, troops of the National Army, jointly and coordinately with the Colombian Air Force and the National Police, found in the village Versalles, in the municipality of Tibú, a laboratory that consisted of seven structures and two laboratories of cocaine used in the production of coca paste. 2485 gallons of acetone, 2878 gallons of gasoline, 55 gallons of ammonia and 50 gallons of hydrochloric acid, 52 kilos of cocaine, 40 kilos of coca, 200 kilos of sodium chloride, 100 kilos of caustic soda and 160 kilos of active carbon were stored in that construction.
In the same way, two rudimentary distillers, a 15-hole “worm”, seven microwave ovens, two digital scales, six scales, two compressors, an electric generator, two washing machines, two water pumps, a hydraulic press, a Decantation filter, an industrial stove, two drying tables, two filtering tables, a boiler and five plastic tanks were found by troops. This machinery and equipment were used in the production of this narcotic drug. In the same way a rifle with its respective ammunition was found.
In parallel, it was possible to dismantle a laboratory in the village La Estrella Baja, in Teorama, with a monthly production capacity of one ton of this alkaloid.
The solid and liquid precursors, such as machinery and equipment found in these structures, would be valued at more than one billion pesos approximately; which become an important figure that would hit the financial capacity of Gao Eln.
