Members of the Military Forces, after dialogue and consultation with demonstrators, have managed to clean some of the roads that remained blocked.
On the Fifth Street near the locality 18 and on the Cali - Yumbo road during the last 4 days, soldiers of the National Army, as part of the military assistance they currently provide in Cali, go with brooms, shovels and dump trucks. This operation has led to the removal of about 10 tons of debris.
These elements remained on the roads as part of the barricades by the demonstrators, which prevented the free mobility of vehicles, motorcycles, bicycles and pedestrians.
Previously, the military made contact with the demonstrators and after dialogue agreed to remove the rubble and thus contribute to the gradual improvement of mobility in the area.
The use of Comprehensive Action Tools has been fundamental to comply with this important operation that is already beginning to benefit the people of Cali. That is why, through military helicopters troops have carried out operations of loudspeakers and air brochures, spreading messages that invite the community to dialogue and to take care of their city. This is complemented by the same work, but on the ground.
The National Army, through its Comprehensive Action resources, will continue to carry out activities for the well-being and mobility of the inhabitants of Cali in the coming days, always in the frame of dialogue and understanding.
