The result came after an intelligence work based on information provided by the Civic Participation Network.
Troops of the Jupiter Operations Command, in execution of the Heroes de la Libertad Campaign Plan, in a joint work with the Air Combat Command No.6, of the Colombian Air Force, found a clandestine hideout with abundant explosive material which belonged to the residual organized armed group, GAO-r, E-1.
The operation that led to the discovery of this clandestine hideout, was carried out in the village known as Bajo Congor, in rural area of the municipality of Piamonte, in the department of Cauca, where the troops of the Land Operations Battalion No.22, found 850 rudimentary grenades of 60 mm, loaded with explosive pentolite.
These grenades would have been used in terrorist operations, against the troops that in recent days, have managed to strike heavy blows against the organized armed groups that commit crimes in that sector.
