In military operations, troops of the Infantry Battalion No.21 Batalla Pantano de Vargas, of the National Army, managed to find an illegal hideout with abundant explosive material, which belonged to the residual Organized Armed Group, GAO, Seventh Structure.
The operation took place in the Parques village, in the rural area of the municipality of Vistahermosa, Meta, where troops arrived and found approximately 244 60-millimeter grenades, handcrafted; 111 81-millimeter grenades, 12 40-pound gas cylinder-type explosive devices and 200 kilograms of explosive anfo.
According to information, this war material could be used in terrorist operations, against civilians and the troops that transit through this sector.
This material was put into custody of the Vistahermosa Specialized Prosecutor's Office, in Meta.
