More than 550 gallons of liquid precursors and about 200 kilograms of solid substances were found by troops at the site.
With the aim of continuing to weaken the illicit and drug trafficking activities of the criminal organizations that commit crimes in southern Bolívar, troops of the National Army found in a rural area of the municipality of Simití, southern Bolívar, a laboratory for production coca base paste, which allegedly belongs to the organized armed group, GAO in Spanish, Eln, Tito Marín Company.
The military operation carried out in the rural area of this municipality led the troops of the Joint Task Force Marte to find 300 gallons of coca base, 220 gallons of gasoline, 30 gallons of ammonia and 15 gallons of sulfuric acid. In the same way, they found 150 Kilograms of chopped coca leaf and 50 kilos of fertilizer, liquid and solid precursors necessary for the production of the drug.
The National Army will continue to carry out military operations to dismantle the chain of drug trafficking and other factors of instability that converge in this area of the country. In the same way, it will continue to maintain, through the deployment of its men, the security and defense of the people in Bolivar.
