An operation by the National Army, in conjunction with the Colombian Air Force and in coordination with the Colombian National Police, led to the finding of a cocaine hydrochloride production laboratory, with an approximate production of one ton.
In an operation, troops of the Aviation Division of Air Assault, in support of the Fourth and Eighth Divisions of the National Army, infiltrated in the point of the laboratory belonging to the residual Organized Armed Group, GAO-r, Santiago Lozada.
After work carried out by military and police intelligence, it was established that the laboratory was in the village of El Placer, Cumaribo municipality, Vichada department.
There, 806 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride were found by troops along with liquid and solid precursors, chemical precursors that would be used for the production of the drug.
This operation was carried out accompanied by personnel of the Judicial Investigation Section of the National Police.
No arrests were made at the scene and the material was put into custody of the authority to conduct the respective judicial process.
On this occasion, the loss to this illicit economy is approaching 4,000 million pesos, which reduces its maneuvering power and prevents the distribution of the narcotic.
We are working for the Colombian people every day, therefore, we serve with all our differential resources in favor of their security.
