The Twenty-Seventh Jungle Brigade of Colombian National Army, in recent days has dealt decisive blows against this illegal structure that commits crimes in this region of the Colombian Amazonas region.
In compliance with the Ayacucho Plan, the Twenty-seventh Jungle Brigade, in a military operation conducted by Colombian National Army, the National police and the Attorney General's Office, carried out the finding and destruction of an illegal laboratory for the production of cocaine hydrochloride in the village of Golondrina, municipality of Puerto Asís - Putumayo.
Thanks to a military intelligence operation, the soldiers of the Field Artillery Battalion No.27 and the National Police found a structure belonging to the Organized Armed Group, GAO, Structure 48, known as Comandos de Frontera, where the different phases of the production of coca paste base and the crystallization of cocaine hydrochloride were being conducted.
During the operation, more than 130 kilos of cocaine hydrochloride, about 100 kilos of coca paste base, more than 18,800 kilograms of solid precursors, 4600 gallons of liquid precursors and a power generator were found by troops.
With this result, the financial structure of this criminal organization is hit, it is responsible for homicides, criminal acts and clashes with other structures specialized in drug trafficking; in the same way, the monthly circulation of more than 9000 million doses of narcotics on the international illegal market was prevented, and the pollution of natural resources in jungle areas was mitigated.
