This group would be commanded by alias Veneno, who is the target of the Timely Action Plan, PAO (in Spanish), established by the national Government and is at the service of the second head of the residual Organized Armed Group, GAO-r, Structure Jaime Martínez, alias David or Mi Pez, which has an interference area in northern Cauca.
In the course of operations and intelligence activities conducted in the municipality of La Esperanza, in the municipality of Buenos Aires, in the northern department of Cauca, troops of the National Army fought with members of this group and arrested six of its members; they in the same way recovered three minors, thereby reducing the criminal and financial capacity of the residual GAO Estructura Jaime Martínez.
In this process, the underage recovered were put into custody of the authorities for the restoration of their rights; trop also found long firearms, a sight for rifle, pistols, a machinegun, magazines and ammunition of various calibers, grenade, igniters, communication equipment, a taser, multi-purpose vests, cash, tickets for collection of money from extortions and material of importance to the military intelligence.
The National Army has succeeded in reducing collective homicides, forced displacements and terrorist attacks against civilians and State strategic assets, such as the La Salvajina Dam, in the municipalities of Buenos Aires and Suárez, Cauca.
