With overflights over the municipalities of San José, Calamar and El Retorno, and loudspeakers through the main streets of the capital city, the aim is to send a message to the community about the compliance with the mandatory preventive isolation decree.
The Twenty-second Brigade, with the Mobility and Aviation Maneuver Battalion No.4, and in coordination with the Government of the department of Guaviare, carried out an overflight with loudspeakers to invite the community to stay home during these days of quarantine.
In this region of the country there are still no cases of Covid-19, and the idea is to maintain the situation. Local and departmental authorities with this type of activities focused on the inhabitants of this part of the country, aims to keep the good behaviors following the presidential decrees.
Governor of Guaviare, Heydeer Palacios, says that the support of the National Army, at this time, when the coordinated work of all sectors is needed, has been essential. He also says: "A very special acknowledge to the Jungle 22 Brigade, which has taken the initiative to make this overflght by the department of Guaviare, to raise awareness in the community to stay home."
The National Army Aviation adapted the loudspeaker equipment to the helicopters, so that these clear messages reach the inhabitants of San José, Calamar and El Retorno from the air.
On the other hand, the Twenty-Second Jungle Brigade is carrying out Operation San Roque, carrying out night patrols in the urban area of the department's capital city, where in the same way loudspeakers missions are carried out through the main streets.
These operations will continue to be implemented 24 hours a day, with the aim of reaching each member of the Guaviare families, to protect them from possible COVID-19 infections, thanks to the support of the community that has complied with the decrees.
