These results are given within the framework of the Ayacucho Plan against the different organized armed groups that commit crimes in the region.
In compliance with the constitutional mission, under the guidelines of the Security, Defense and citizen coexistence Policy, soldiers of the Aquiles Joint Task Force, in coordination with the National Police, after the continuous military operations carried out against the GAO Clan del Golfo in the south of C贸rdoba, conducted the arrest of alias Discover and the discovery of military accessories and communications material at the service of the Rub茅n Dar铆o 脕vila Substructure, of this organized armed group.
Alias Discover was in charge of managing and coordinating the finances and the armed component of the substructure Rub茅n Dar铆o 脕vila and Edwin Rom谩n Vel谩squez, of the GAO Clan del Golfo, in the Knot of Paramillo. This man would have escaped the Fourth Brigade prison in Medell铆n, Antioquia, in December 2022.
This arrest is possible thanks to the intelligence of the Police, who after an arduous investigation and coordinated work with the Army found and subsequently arrested the man in the municipality of Montel铆bano, C贸rdoba.
This man allegedly participated in the murder of a Soldier in July 2022, in the La Roca sector, in the Nudo de Paramillo National Park village, on the R铆o Sucio canyon. Two other members of the security forces were injured in this action.
In the same way, he would be in charge of the movements of war materiel, food, hallucinogenic substances, military accessories and logistics, which were sent from the municipalities of Puerto Libertador, C贸rdoba, and Ituango, Antioquia.
