In an Army Aviation helicopter, the 3-year-old boy and his parents were taken to Bucaramanga for specialized medical assistance.
Soldiers of the National Army, through the Fifth Brigade of the Second Division, in coordination with the governorate of Santander and the battalion of maneuver and Air Mobility no. 2, immediately transported a minor who was injured with burns on 80% of his body and required specialized medical assistance.
The facts were reported in the village San Joaquin, in the municipality of Mogotes, Santander, where apparently, the child of 3 years would have fallen into a boiler for the production of Panela. He was immediately taken by ambulance to the municipality of San Gil and there, on board a Black Hawk helicopter, he was evacuated to Bucaramanga, where he was received at the University Hospital of Santander.
