This individual, 36 years old, and of Mexican nationality, apparently would be the link of the Oaxaca Cartel with local Organized Armed Groups, GAO-r, from Colombia, coordinating illegal activities focused on drug trafficking.
In the course of inter-institutional military operations, troops of the National Army and the Attorney General's Office arrested alias Márgaro, requested by a District Court of United States.
The operation was carried out after an intelligence work, in which it was possible to confirm the presence of this individual in the city of Villavicencio, Meta. The authorities arrived there to make his arrest.
Alias Márgaro would be in charge of carrying out criminal coordination with members of the organized armed groups that have interference in the south and east of Colombia, in the same way with members of the Cartel de los Soles of Venezuela, in order to coordinate the purchase and sale of war material and psychoactive substances. Apparently, through the implementation of mobility routes to transport weapons and ammunition, from Venezuela to the north of Cauca and south of Valle del Cauca. In the same way, he would send shipments of cocaine and marijuana to countries in North and Central America, establishing an illegal route for his criminal operations nationally and internationally.
According to the first information, this individual would be forming some kind of alliance to be conducted by the residual organized armed groups and the Mexican cartels, providing these structures with military equipment, so that they can continue occupying areas of interest for illicit plantations.
The arrested individual was put into custody of the Attorney General's Office to later be extradited to the United States, where he must face charges of illicit drug trafficking and association to commit crimes.
With this important result, the illegal financial plans based on drug trafficking will be hit, as well as the communication channels with foreign cartels and residual organized armed groups that commit crimes in the country.
