In the same operation, a minor was recovered and a large amount of war material was seized.
In the municipality of Playa Rica, rural area of El Tambo, Cauca, troops of the National Army arrived along with the CTI (Technical Investigations Corps) of the Attorney General's office, where they arrested alias Junior, who had an arrest warrant in force for the crimes of association to commit aggravated crimes, manufacture, trafficking or illegal carrying of weapons of personal defense and exclusive use of the military forces.
Similarly, a minor of age was recovered of the ranks of this residual organized armed group, GAO-r, who put into custody of the authorities for the restoration of his rights.
Alias Junior is allegedly responsible for threats, killings, extortion, and forced displacement in this region of the country; with experience in handling explosives he become an instructor of courses for the members of this criminal organization, preparing them in the manufacture of anti-personnel mines, in addition to courses of criminal intelligence and handling of masses.
At the scene troops found seven computers, a sight, communications equipment, a 60 mm grenade, two pistols, ammunition and magazines of different calibers, five long weapons, a 40 mm Truflay, an Ithaca, multipurpose vests, military accessories, notebooks with information about the structure and propaganda of the gang.
With the arrest alias Junior, the National Army weakens the command and control of the GAO residual, structure Carlos Patiño, thus neutralizing terrorist and armed plans against civilians and Military Forces.
